Although there are probably a number of users here that also use DP, you can find more MOTU users and resources at the following websites: (they have manuals) (MOTU-mac users group, a very active mailing list, plus they also now have a bulletin board)
DP3 is the most complete sequencing program out there. I used to use PTle but after trying DP there is no going back. Try Unlike PT, DP3 does not cripple their software like Digi does (no 24 track limit, ASIO,Rewire). DP 3.1 is about to come out with lots of new features. Try it out, you won't regret it.

Personnally, I'm more of a Logic fan, but I also use PT and DP, and I have to say I think DP has kinda the advantages of both Logic and PT reunited into one soft.
DP is a great soft that I used to use a lot. Then I've stopped ,specially when I begun working in post prod where PT is all over the place. I became a PT addict-regular user. Recently I wanted to work with DP again (specially because of Reason support), well...eventhough I've used it for many years in the past I find it REALLY hard to get back to it. SO many windows-subwindows, menus-submenus-subsubmenus, it sometimes take me 5 minutes just to find the feature I'm looking for. Of course, I could use the manual, but I generally don't have the time to do it...I have to be able to acheive projects as fast as I can, and that's what I do with PT which I can say I know pretty well. So, if you have the time and the courage to start from scratch... I know I don't.
