help with advdinfo

I have a pioneer dvr-a03 firmware just upgraded to 1.90 and I perchased some meritline dvd-r's (they are purple w/silver lettering on top and purple on writing surface, they have # on inside of disc <p4901025000202>). When I use these dvd-r's to burn to in many different authoring and burning programs it fails to write anythung to them. Here is my confusion: The burner sees them as blanks even the software sees them as blanks. But when it comes time to write to them it always gives me an error message, for example, in recordmax the error is Error -10 at sector 624 - disc read error - command;2a sense:03 asc:73 ascq:03. I have no problem with other cheap media and good ones just these and believe it or not, all rw's too, including pioneer's. And in advdinfo under disc manufacturing info it gives me like 50 lines of all 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ....... except for the first line which starts with 08 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 etc... So how do I know who the manufacturer is on this, because I can't find it in the lists on the forum. Please help...

Are u using the "OE" option in the drop down list of ADVDINFO ?
