I wanted to get feedback as to the different analog-sytle synths you guys are using with the 001. Obviously, the virus is used in the "be there" demo. What sound source did the NUNU loop come from Jon?? Any supernova users out there?? Nord-lead2?? Waldorf?? The brand new Andromeda from Alesis looks like a monster, but with it's price tag looks more like a demon ($3499 list). Somewhere i saw info that a TDM version of the virus is coming out. Maybe an RTAS version is out there as well. Thanks, for your input, all. : ) haze
ok since my main resorces are synth i go with you about the VIRUS vRTAS...we want it!! and dont tell me the mac doesnt have power for it... my analog babies: cs01+cv,cs15,bit01,korg vc3,sh101,juno60 tr606,sidstation,trident mk2,moog rouge, ex8000 , never for sale!!! more digital stuff: dx7,prophecy,morpheus,fb01,cz101, what can compare to this on the synth plug ins..?? haze hows your nu mac..like? izik levy
I just buy the Analog Synth sample CDs for my Emu Sampler. I've got some pretty awesome Minimoog and Arp samples. Works for me... ------------------ LW
I kind of regret getting rid of my Juno 106 and Prophet VS in hindsight, but I have no complaints about the analog sounds I get from my Kurzweil these days. I've always thought it would be cool to pick up an Oberheim OBX-a and a PPG Wave, but then you have to ask yourself, "do I really want the headaches almost certain to be associated with relics like those..?"

Well, no, you probably don't want the headaches, but just in case somebody does decide to look for older analog synths rather than the new stuff, here are a few resources: For information on newsgroups, mailing lists, patch libraries, and other electronic music resources: SynthZone For information on a specific instrument or electronic music subject try the archives at: Music Machines For a bit of history: You can see a picture of my first synth, a Rhodes Chroma still in use with a midi retrofit and a Galaxy patch librarian: Phat City. ------------------ Bruce Paine eMarketing
