ProTools 6/OSX TDM success stories?

Hi, So in this forum it's easy to find out who's having problems. Anyone out there using ProTools 6/OSX TDM in a pro studio without big problems? I'd love to hear about it!

I've just completed a film score at Abbey Road Studios on OS10.6.2 PT6.0.1. Recording the orchestra into Pro Tools, using the Click Plug, the lot went perfectly, like a dream in fact, not one problem. The ability to create fades on the fly let to some very slick editing, that surprised the client with the speed of operation. One thing, could do without the playlist reordering, a slight irratation.

That playlist thing is fixed in 6.1. Thank God.

No crashes, no problems. I have successfully completed 6 24 track mixes of a full orchestra with no problems, 3 rock 24 track recordings and mixes no problem, VO work no problem. It's been rock stable. Even the clients and other engineers comment on the stability - and, of course - the HD sound quality. Plug-ins on the fly is a fantastic.

I've been using PT6.01 and OSX10.26 for quite awile now with no major problems, I have to admit that I'm taking it to the limit, 40 to 60 tracks with a lot of plugins and also a lot of SoftSynths (RTAS) like Plugsound, Atmosphere, Stylus, Trilogy and SampleTank. I'm talking about using them all in one session (sometimes more then one each). I'm using it with a G4 dual 1.42 (1.5 gig ram), a 23' Sony LCD, Baby Hui, 2 removable SCSI and 2 removable Firewire, DDS3/ Mezzo, Midi I/O, HD3 and 192 with an extra A/D card. Got to tell..... It rocks!!!!! Marcello Azevedo
