OMS --urgent--Please help

Hi, What I've done recently is: ------ Reinstalled Mac Os 9.2.1 updated 9.2.2 installed PT 5.3.1 (before it was 5.3) set up OMS restore my previous studio setup file The problem is: ---- All device names/icons remain wherever they are but whenever I edit a device's setting (i.e. midi receive sends, receive channels) and hit OK, i see nothing but only BLANK boxes when I return the device settings immediately. Fortunately I randomly added some other devices to see if they have some receive channels enabled by default and played some keyboards through those ports. I see incoming and outgoing (in above mentioned case) midi signals on my MTP AV. Nothing wrong with it. I installed MTP driver 1.48 and 1.47 also. No changes. I trashed Free Midi extensions. No changes. OMS is 2.3.8 I can't use any of my midi devices properly. please share your comments. thanks

I'd trash all OMS preferences and create a new setup in OMS. As OMS is a totally separate application from PT, I'd try to run a different application that uses the MIDI devices. If the devices show up there and not in PT, then I'd completely uninstall PT, trashing everything (Preferences, digitest, everything), then start from scratch just installing PT again.

Unfortunately, trashing prefs didn't help it

You won't need Freemidi unless you're using DP, so trash all OMS and Freemidi files, extensions, etc. and reinstall ONLY OMS. You can put the MOTU midi driver in the OMS folder and it should recognize it just fine.
