T5 Engine into a 10V Estate

Please before anyone starts, I know its cheaper to just buy a T5 but I like driving base model cars with powerful engines but if anyone wants to swap a T5 for a 10V plus cash I'll consider it I've already built a 1.8lx Sierra with a Cosworth lump in it and a Maestro with a Montego Turbo engine etc So if anyone can help with a couple of questions, Has anyone ever done this? Is the manual gearbox on the 10v suitable? Does the engine loom unplug or is it out with the soldering iron time to fit the T5 loom? Are the engine mounts the same? Are the fuel pumps and tanks the same?

i can understand the attraction, but in this case the 10v and T5 cars look physically the same........ unlike your examples of the maestro and sierra. I'd think it'd be much easier and no different to buy a cheap base spec T5, then put on some 15" alloys from a 10v. A base spec T5 will have less options than a good spec 10v, and will look the same.

I recall reading somewhere the subframe for the T5 is lower to accomodate the turbo, so it would not fit on a 10V frame if that was the case.
