Pro Tools v REAPER Listening Test

This is good fun, but FWIW the sample rate difference probably makes any A/B more dependent on the listener's playback equipment than any other factor.

Not totally sure on this but I think to be more valid the test would have to give "Both are Reaper" and "Both are Pro Tools" as options instead of "Both are the same". That way the person is always answering the same question ("Which file is from which host?"), otherwise the last option answers a different question ("Are these files the same?") and you'd have to change the first options to something like "The files are different". Might be a really minor detail and I doubt you intended on making this totally scientific but you know, people are always gonna complain...

I didn't listen to either of them and got 100% REAPER obviously sounds best because there is more love in the code, so there wasn't any point

I'd say redo the files, all on 48k ! I only had the 2nd question right, and apart from that I always preferred the 48k file which turned out to be the ProTools one. Probably the material has been recorded in 48k ?
