Koepi: I guess it has something to do with mp4 and xvid ? Can you give us any more hints ? I know there are some new things like b-frames qpel coming in XviD, but is it really this ? Or is it a new mp4 player that is multiplatform and opensource ? /hegge

No more hints. Please respect the wish of the xvid developers to keep the talk about it very _low_. Has btw. nothing to do with what you think it seems.

tanksimpson: I used the older binary (Psytel AAC encoder 2.15 2002-03-02). So that's the reason it didn't play well with wmp6.4?

Seems that Psytel 2.15 marks the AAC files as MPEG-2 AAC, but it should be marked as MPEG-4 to be usable with QuickTime. The patched Psytel for MPEG-4 does this. It should be possible to make a tool to mark a MPEG-2 AAC as MPEG-4 but AFAIK no one has done it yet...
