hi all i really need a decent torx socket set for my expanding toolbox, can anyone recomend a decent one,i know the halfords stuff gets pretty good reviews?? any help please???
My dealer has advised me to have a look at "Snap-on" stuff so I will be doing that sometime this week. Apparently it may not be the cheapest but once you buy it, it has a lifetime guarantee so any faults / breakages will be replaced FOC for as long as you own them.

I bought the halfords set when I was replacing my front shock absorbers, I already had a set (non halfords) but snapped one of them trying to remove the anti roll bar drop links. The halfords one survived but was twisted pretty badly. I also snapped one of them just trying to remove the engine covers - but that might be because I didn't have one in exactly the right size so had to use a smaller one. A set with a lifetime guarantee sounds good! although if you break one in the middle of a major job and have to wait for a replacement could be a problem I suppose
I understand that Halfords will replace/exchange any Halfords Professional tools that break without mis-use. They have a lifetime replacement guarantee.

I have to say that I bought a set of the Halfords rachet sockets when they were on offer, and so far very inpressed, even undid my rear brake caliper bolts without protest, and without marking the bolt heads. Horrid 'CRACK' when they first shifted, and I thought I had bu88ered the rachet, but it was just the bolt breaking free from years of grime etc. spanners are V good, but can't speak for torx sets
