Russ.... what's with that stupid time out nonsense?!!!! The timeout finished on the second question before the download even finished!!! Edit - I wasn't meaning for this response to sound like I was actually frustrated!!! It was tongue in cheek but that doesn't come across too well in type on teh internetz!! ;)
0 out of 3 - Yieps! Since I was assigning what I felt was a punchier, brighter, more dynamic sound to ProTools I can only conclude the opposite is true!
Ahh, people.... Isnt marketing great? I mean, for years before I really got back into the game, the urban legend was that Pro Tools (now this is what Id heard) had some unique kinds of "algorithms" it used to process audio. Vastly superior to anything else on the market, naturally. Yes, this was the myth for years. Now, with null tests, you can easily see that both programs will p00p out the same 1's and 0's when the settings are the same. Ive completely been, for a long time, the kind of musician who has to make due with anything with a record button simply because Ive never been able to afford REAL cutting edge stuff. Thanks Reaper for giving me a program that for minimal $$, I can compete, get my art done, and do it with full confidence.
I failed with 33%. Here was my MO: I picked the one i liked best of the drum only mixes and said that was reaper... That was my one correct answer. then I tried to pick the reaper version of the following mixes based on... well it doesn't matter what it was based on... I got both wrong. I was surprised by the answer to number 2. .t
