Multiple Instances of Guitar Rig 3

Not sure if this behaviour is user error or by design, I hope other Reaper/GR3 users can set me straight. When I run mutiple instances of GR3 in Reaper (i.e rhythm and lead) the Main Input and Output levels seem to be global. What I mean is...say I haved recored a rhythm part in GR3 on track 1 and now want to record a lead on track 2. If I adjust the Main Input/Output volume for GR3 on track 2 it also adjusts the main input/output level for track 1. Is there any way to set it up so that changing the volume for any instance of GR3 does not affect any other instances of GR3?

i just tried, two tracks, each with a copy of gr3, adjusting any of the volume knobs on one didn't affect the other.
