Hi. Has anyone had a similar thing happen - when I brake I get a judder coming from, I think, the front of my D5. I thought it was a warped brake disc and had the front ones replaced but it is still happening. I have read though a lot of threads - could this be the wishbone or control arm bushes? All thoughts welcome
I replaced the wishbones bushes on my 2001 V70 at aprrox 75,000 miles. The discs lasted about 70,000 miles. The bushes were split and on rough road surfaces had just started to knock. I had no judder from the brakes while the discs or bushes were worn. I would jack the car up and have a good look at the bushes for any movement or splits.
could it be the abs sensor playing up ,,,i know its a long shot but it did happen to me on a primera i once had and it did feel like the brakes were juddery it also felt a lot worse on loose or wet surfaces,,,p,s the abs warnin light didnt light up to indicate a problem
My V70 has the same symptoms. I was advised at it's MOT the rear discs need changed. Shuddering through the car indicates warped rear discs. Shuddering/wobble through the steering wheel, indicates the front discs. DC
