Fix h264 stream, 2760x1080??

Ok, I made an BD rip of second Pirates of Carabean movie. There is only one tiny problem, it only plays fine in Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra 8. every other playback app for some reason picks up 2760x1080 resolution. is there a simple way to fix it.

Is there.. a reason you're encoding @ 2760x1080? I'm pretty sure just about every blu-ray out there is mastered @ 1920x### with padding up to 1080 lines. Which would put a movie @ 2.4:1 AR at 1920x800 with 240 lines of padding. It sounds like you just upscaled to 2760x1080 from there, because I don't know of any blu-ray's that actually have anything resembling the resolution you're using.

i'm not encoding anything, not upscaling anything, i said RIP. 1) anyDVD to rip 2) tried both tsMuxer and tsremux and took the m2ts file to remux, removed unnecessary audio and subtitles, remux to ts that is all, no encoding, no upscaling. and again, when it plays in PowerDVD Ultra 8 it will pickup the right resolution, if i play the file in other software players it picks up that weird resolution

Maybe there's some anamorphic flag being added when you remux. Try muxing to mkv with default settings to see if it makes a difference.

Like Comatose said maybe there's an anamorphic flag being added for some reason. Try to mux to mkv. If you use mkvmerge GUI in the 'input tab, select the added video stream and in the 'Format Specific Options' tab it says 'Display width/height:' put the default resolution there...
