Envivio mp4 plugin 1.2 for WMP is out...

...and it WORKS! Finally, we are able to view mp4 created with DivX 5.02 and Psytel 2.15 AAC with excellent visual and audio quality/sync. My test clip was about 10 minutes ripped from LOTR:FOTR of 720x400 (16:9, uncropped) video encoded at 3500kbps CBR DivX (Simple Profile only) with 128kbps AAC LC stereo, muxed with MP4UI (MPEG4IP 0.9.5.1 based). Haven't tried B-frames (will probably work) or 6-channel AAC (probably won't work) or XviD (who knows?) - please post if you have results for these. The plugin can be downloaded from - I verified it works perfectly with RealOne also, haven't enabled it with Quicktime yet (which has its own pitiful mp4 support). This is a great day for mp4 enthusiasts :)

Update: GMC works fine, B-frames makes playback "jerky" :( and Q-pel produces minor discolorations around the edges of objects. Stick with Simple Profile and the results are great. Edit: Aww c'mon, Koepi, don't tell me Envivio has been "blacklisted" too?!? :confused:

I muxed mp4 file with mp4UI (0.9.5.1) and the video (DivX5) was made with GKnot and the audio with AacMachine. It plays well with wmp4player but when I try to play it with wmp6.4 which has Envivio's new plugin the video is good but there is no audio. When I mux the mp4 it is hinted, optimized and ISMA compliant. According to mp4UI the audio file is AAC LC but it doesn't show any bitrate for the video or audio file. So where did it go wrong?

@teplun: Where did you get the binary for Psytel Aacenc.exe? There are different ones floating around, but the one that works best is the one available at labeled "Psytel AAC encoder - MPEG4 AAC as default for all profiles". I am also assuming that you are talking about a 2-channel AAC, not 6-channel, which won't work without a 6-channel decoder.
